2015 Health Tip 23 Cleanse Minor Cuts and Scrapes

Winter is here and kids will be kids, regardless of the season!

Ease their pain and infection by gently cleansing any minor cut, abrasion or scrape with warm water and soap ( doesn't have to be antibacterial - Dove is my preference). Repeat 2 to 3 times until ckear of debris. Can follow up with antibacterial ointment, a bandage and plenty of mom kisses!

Top First Aid Tip of 2015 Avoid Hand Santizers for Children

Just like with unhealthy things too much of a good thing is not ideal.

Hand Santizers are perfect to use when there is no sink or soap available, but they are not a replacement.

Over usage of  Hand Santizers can destroy the natural bacteria on your skin. Use in moderation.

Only use for children over 10 and sparingly.

*Only in dire emergencies, some brands are designed for children under 10 ( used with caution).
